Stock market crash pada 1973-1974 adalah kejatuhan pasar saham yang berlaku di antara Januari 1973 dan Desember 1974. Ianya mempengaruhi semua pasar saham utama di dunia, terutama di England dan ianya adalah salah satu yang terburuk dalam pasar saham sejarah moden. kejatuhannya disebabkan setelah gagalnya dari sistem "Bretton Woods" (perjanjian bretton) selama dua tahun sebelumnya , yang terkait dengan "Nixon Shock" dan devalualation dolar Amerika Serikat di bawah Perjanjian Smithsonian. Ia ditambah pula oleh krisis minyak pada tahun 1973 October tahun itu.
694 hari di antara 11 Januari 1973 dan 6 Desember 1974, New York Stock Exchange dari Dow Jones Industrial Average telah menyusut 45% pada nilai sebenar,yang mana pasaran terburuk dalam sejarah indeks.Pada tahun 1972 ianya telah menunjukkan peningkatan dengan keuntungan sebesar 15% dalam dua belas bulan.Dalam 2 tahun pada 1972 ke 1974,ekonomi AS mengalami kelembapan daripada 7,2% real GDP kepada -2,1%, sementara inflasi melonjak dari 3,4% pada tahun 1972 ke paras pada tahun 1974.
Kesan yang ketara di UK dan khususnya di Bursa Saham London FT 30, yang mana penyusutan sebanyak 73% dari nilai sebenar.Dari 5,1% pertumbuhan GDP pada tahun 1972, UK mengalami recession pada 1974, dengan pertumbuhan GDP jatuh ke 1,1%.Pada waktu itu, property market di UK telah mengalami krisis besar, dan krisis perbankan yang mana bank-bank di UK terpaksa di "bail out" untuk mengeluarkan sejumlah pinjaman. Di UK, krisis berakhir setelah sewa hartanah dibekukan untuk penyelarasan pada sektro property,kemudian harga saham meningkat sebanyak150%.Namun begitu, tidak seperti di US, inflasi terus meningkat, pada paras 25% pada 1975, mengalami era stagflation.

Dah lama sebenarnya umat islam khususnya di dunia di himpit masalah pengantunggan terhadap ekonomi US satu kuasa besar yg menjadi "bapa ekonomi dunia".Pada asasnya pemboikotan barangan US boleh dilihat pada beberapa faktor.Pro dan kontranya.Perkara yang lebih mendalam kalau di kaji adalah kelemahan umah islam.Sejak kejatuhan empayar uthmaniyyiah umat islam menjadi lemah selemahnya.Boikot perkara yang mungkin akan bertahan tak lama.Hasil kajian ini mungkin kita boleh merenung ke mana arah umat islam sekarang.bak kata org"sudah terhantuk baru nak sedar".

Why are they powerful?why are Muslims powerless?Here's another reason. We have lost the capacity to produce knowledge.

o Not one university in the entire Islamic World features in the Top500 Ranking Universities of the World
o Literacy in the Christian World 90%
o Literacy in the Muslim World 40%

o 98% in Christian countries completed primary
o Only 50% in Muslim countries completed primary.

Please educate yourself and your children. always promote education,don't compromise on it, don't ignore your children's slightestmisguidance from education (and please, for God's Sake, don't use yourpersonal contacts or sources to promote your children in theireducation; if they fail, let them and make them learn to pass; b/c ifthey can't do it now, they can't ever).We are World's biggest and strongest nation, all we need is toidentify and explore our ownselves. Our victory is with our knowledge,our creativity, our literacy...And nothing else.....Wake up...
